ABOUT AUTHOR BILLY DERING

Billy Dering, author of the award-winning Utopia Project trilogy, grew up on the Jersey Shore, a geographic region now woven into the fabric of his soul. After high school, life led him first to Clemson, South Carolina for college, then to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the early 1990s, Dering returned home to Ocean County, New Jersey, where he has lived ever since. A CPA and school business administrator by profession, his creative side was cooped up for years until he discovered what would become a life-altering outlet: fiction writing.

Dering is currently developing several new novels, including a time travel thriller. When he isn’t writing, Dering enjoys reading science fiction and thriller novels, playing rock ’n’ roll riffs on his guitar, watching his Clemson Tiger football team, and basking in the magical ambiance of the ocean. He believes inspiration for storytelling can emerge anywhere, at any time – often in the most unexpected places.
